Peshawar: Another PhD research project has been successfully completed under the supervision of Dr. Umm-e-Kalsoom at the Department of Psychology, Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Women University, Peshawar. PhD scholar Zainab Waheed successfully defended her dissertation titled “Efficacy of Virtual Reality-Based Versus Traditional Acceptance and Commitment Therapy on the Outcomes of Generalized Anxiety Disorder Patients.”
The external examination was conducted by Dr. Uzma Ali.
The study presented a comparative evaluation of the effectiveness of Virtual Reality-Based Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and traditional ACT in the treatment of patients with Generalized Anxiety Disorder. The findings are considered a valuable contribution to the advancement of innovative treatment approaches and research in the field of mental health.

It is noteworthy that this is another successful PhD completed under the supervision of Dr. Umm-e-Kalsoom, reflecting her continued commitment to quality research, effective academic mentorship, and the promotion of higher education in the field of psychology.
