The board will investigate procurement of grain by PASSCO and look into public complaints of irregularities.Federal Minister Rana Tanwer said that farmers cannot be exploited under any circumstances. &#8220;Relevant instructions have been issued by PASSCO to make grain procurement transparent. &#8220;All necessary measures are being taken to make grain procurement transparent,&#8221; he said.The minister said that farmers and agriculture have an important role in the country&#8217;s prosperity and said that the country will be prosperous when farmers are happy.In another development, federal minister Rana Tanwer Hussain received reports of wheat containing insects. Rana Tanwer formed a high-level research committee. The three-member committee will be headed by Food Commissioner Syed Wasim-ul-Hasan.The investigation committee will conduct a transparent investigation involving insects in imported wheat. The Council will submit a comprehensive report on grain imports and non-conforming.
